Oak Legal Group

Oak Legal Group acquires and supports established regional law firms across the UK. It backs firms with strong local reputations and loyal clients, and gives them the capital, technology, governance and operational support to grow.

After approval from the Solicitors Regulation Authority, Oak Legal completed its first acquisition: Hedges Law, a long-established Oxfordshire firm known for private client, property and family law. A month later it acquired Perrin Myddelton in Harpenden, known for its social housing work, which now trades as part of Hedges Law.

The aim is a multi-brand legal group that keeps the name and character of each firm it joins. CKM³ backed Oak Legal as a buy-and-build platform, investing alongside its management team, who hold equity in the group, and co-investors.

What we are doing together

We have built the platform with the management team from the start: SRA approval and the acquisitions of Hedges Law and Perrin Myddelton. We set the value creation plan together and run the M&A strategy and the pipeline of further firms. Behind that sit an integrated group model, cash flow forecasting and consolidated board reporting.
